Barnett Home Inspections is a residential and commercial inspection company that was established in 2007 by Jason Barnett. With Jason Barnett’s construction background and real estate expertise, he was able to grow BHI into what it is today - a full service competitive business centered on caring for each and every client, realtor, and their home to the fullest extent. With over 15 years of residential and commercial inspection experience, and over 30 years in the housing and construction industry, Barnett Home Inspections makes it our mission to provide a quality, detailed, relationship-oriented experience with each and every inspection.

Jason Barnett
Jason Barnett is the founder and CEO of Barnett Home Inspections. With his background in construction, real estate, remodeling, and much more, he brings a wide array of knowledge and expertise to the forefront for both his clients and inspectors. Jason takes pride in knowing that his company has grown to what it is today. Jason loves to help families, individuals, and people of all kinds make the best decision on the biggest purchase that they will make in their lifetime. He has been married to his wife for over 25 years and they have two daughters together. Jason enjoys engaging in sports activities, scuba diving, boating, and doing anything on the water.

Cortnee Barnett
Cortnee Barnett is the daughter of Jason Barnett and has been with Barnett Home Inspections since 2019. With her expertise as a licensed Realtor in both Missouri and Kansas, her knowledge and background in teaching, writing, and more, Cortnee brings many things to the table for the company behind the scenes. You can find her in the scheduling department, but she also manages many of the back-end areas of the business as well. In her free time, Cortnee enjoys traveling, scuba diving, writing, and spending time with friends and family.

Jason Barnes
Jason Barnes is an active certified InterNACHI inspector, and also maintains certifications in termite and sewer scope inspections as well for Barnett Home Inspections. Jason has been with the team since 2016. With 25+ years of experience in construction, the auto body industry, and more, Jason offers so much to BHI’s team. When he is not performing home inspections, Jason enjoys spending his weekends in the summertime at the lake maintaining his catamaran with his trusty golden retriever, Shiloh, at his side. He also finds joy in riding motorcycles, drag racing, and spending time with family and friends.

Mark Baker
Mark Baker is currently a Certified Professional Inspector, certified termite inspector, and sewer scope inspector for Barnett Home Inspections and has been for years. With Mark’s professional roofing background and his 25+ years of experience in construction, combined with previously owning his own business, Mark knows and has the drive and determination that it takes to provide a quality inspection every single time. Mark is a proud father of 2 and enjoys his quiet time at the lake and traveling.

Tara Clifton
Tara Clifton is the newest addition to Barnett Home Inspections. We are proud to say that Tara is the radon equipment specialist for our company. Tara brings an abundance of ability to our team between her experience as a licensed Realtor, a mother, and all around professional in many facets. When she is not at work, Tara enjoys spending time outdoors, riding her motorcycle, and trying foods of all kinds. Her favorite holiday is Halloween, and her favorite food is a juicy burger!

When Barnett Real Estate Inspections began, Jarred, Jason Barnett’s brother, was the first one to come aboard. Jarred was very instrumental in keeping the company together and growing it into what it is now. Had it not been for him, BHI would not be what it is today.
Jarred worked with the company for an entire decade, and his impact in that decade was surely felt by all. An impact that strongly cannot be forgotten. We will certainly never forget.
Although he was a dedicated worker and loyal asset to our company, he also had many hobbies outside of work, too. Jarred LOVED the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals, and was the biggest fan you’d meet. He was also an extremely talented guitar player as well. One thing people may not have known about him was that when he was on a roll, he was sure to make anyone fall out of their seat laughing. Jarred was a father of one, grandfather of one, a beloved son, brother, and a great friend.
